- Contracted through Y&L Consulting for the National Skeet Shooting Association and National Sporting Clays Association (NSSA-NSCA), a nonprofit serving 15,000 members and 700+ clubs. On an IT team of four, I'm the jack of all trades: developer, data engineer, and helpdesk.
- Develop and maintain VB.NET, C#, and PHP apps, including TEAMMS, the in-house system for members, clubs, and shoot results.
- Added an elapsed timer and progress bar to TEAMMS shoot processing, which gave no sign of when a run finished. Coworkers praised it and use it daily.
- Take feedback straight from staff and ship it, from quality-of-life fixes to critical bugs.
- Helped migrate the public website from a legacy WordPress 4.6 install to Joomla on PHP 8.5.
- Write T-SQL stored procedures, views, and queries in SQL Server behind national competition results and member data, and load member, shoot, and competition data.
- Automate scheduled jobs, like emailing out the current member list, through Exchange and Microsoft Graph.
- Traced a TEAMMS test environment that kept connecting to the wrong database to a service account missing permissions and a mismatched System.Memory.dll version.
- Support the Azure modernization of legacy systems, and upgraded 9 machines to Windows 11 with PowerShell.
- Handle helpdesk and offboarding, and document one-off fixes so the team never solves them twice.
